The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on the 25th of May 2018 but are you prepared? It represents the biggest change in data protection law in the last 20 years and it is going to have a profound effect on the way your organisation gathers, stores, secures and maintains its data.
A partnership of Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Council plus the East Suffolk Partnership have come together with The DPO Centre to provide an online toolkit of practical advice and tips on how to get your organisation ready for GDPR. The toolkit will provide advice and support on what you need to consider, as well as a checklist of actions on what to do next, all aimed at ensuring you’re able to implement the necessary changes.
Rob Masson, CEO of the DPO Centre said “The GDPR is the biggest change in data protection legislation for over 20 years, so it is vital that organisations large and small understand their new obligations. This practical and informative free policy toolkit have provided East Suffolk organisations with the support they needed to improve their knowledge, along with the documentation required to demonstrate their compliance.”
