Businesses in Waveney are invited to attend a free support event next month, with information available on funding, energy efficiency and cyber protection.
On Thursday 5 October, Waveney District Council, the East Suffolk Partnership and the Waveney Business Forum will be holding a free business support event at the Waveney House Hotel in Beccles.
Advice will be available on energy efficiency, tax, data protection and protection from cyber fraud. In addition, information on business grants will be available as well as presentations from the New Anglia Growth Hub, Nwes, MENTA, LEADER, Lovewell Blake and the Waveney Chamber of Commerce.
Cllr Michael Ladd, Waveney’s Cabinet Member for Tourism and Economic Development, said: “Micro, small and medium-sized businesses are a vital part of our local economy and it is essential that they are supported throughout their journey. This free event will provide local business owners and those looking to start a new business with guidance on a range of issues to help them to grow.”
The event will be a mixture of presentations, displays and the opportunity to speak with relevant agencies and experienced local business owners.
The event begins at 4.30pm with light refreshments at 5pm, followed by presentations from 5.30pm – 7.30pm.
